This year's theme
Every year I pick one feeling, read everything I can find about it, and paint twelve pages. This year it's the title of a Marie Howe poem — “What the Living Do”: the quiet faith that life is still worth living, through grief and confusion and the days that make no sense.
Inside
Each month, a painting and the poem that started it.

On your desk, all year
It stands on its own, about the size of a paperback, and turns over on a wire-o spine — one painting and one poem to keep you company each month.
It comes in an illustrated keepsake box, with bookmarks tucked in — because the people who buy this calendar are always halfway through a book.

I read words and paint what I feel. Poems, songs, a line from a book that won't leave me alone — this calendar is where a year of them ends up. Many of you buy one every year, and honestly, that's my favourite part.
